Question: What is the purpose of EOBI?
Answer: EOBI provides benefits to the workers of private organizations in the form of pension and grant (i.e. gratuity).

Question: Is EOBI scheme compulsory or optional?
Answer: EOBI  scheme is compulsory. All the private organizations having more than five employees are bound to register with EOBI.

Question: Can a worker register himself with EOBI if the organization is not registered?
Answer: No. A worker can't avail the self contribution scheme as it has been discontinued.

Question: Does EOBI provide any other benefits e.g. marriage grant, death grant etc.?
Answer: No. EOBI only provides pension or grant (i.e. gratuity) to the insured persons.

Question: If a worker has worked in one province, can he submit his pension claim in any other province?
Answer: Yes. EOBI is a federal organization and a worker can submit his pension claim in any EOBI office within Pakistan.
