Miscellaneous Benefits of EOBI Registration Card

EOBI Registration Card not only entitles its holder of benefits from Employees' Old Age Benefits Institution, but it also provides benefits from other Institutions especially Workers Welfare Board.

If a person holds EOBI Registration Card, he is entitled to death grant, marriage grant, scholarship grant from Workers Welfare Board, provided he fulfills the criteria laid for 'Worker' and 'Workmen' as provided in IRA 2012. (See the image below)

More importantly, the person who holds EOBI Registration Card is entitled for special quota in Hajj schemes. This year, government had declared a quota of 500 persons for Hajj scheme.

EOBI Registration Card is the due right of every employee in private sector. It also entitles the children of the workers to study in Workers Welfare Board Schools around the country. It should be kept in mind that unlike Workers Welfare Board and Social Security, EOBI is a federal institution. It is also pertinent to mention here that the requirement of EOBI Registration or Social Security is not mandatory for mining workers in case of death grant.
